BOND OF BLOOD, a AU Harry Potter
roleplay site that takes place during the Trio's fourth year
at the lovely school of Hogwarts. But there's something up.
There's more dark magic than before. Possible death eaters
inside the school already...and as kids? Only time will tell if
things will go as Voldemort as planned, or if another student
will die in Harry's place.

Viktor smiled in the bright Autumn morning sunshine. It was the end of August and he had been amongst the students of Hogwarts and Beauxbatons for a few weeks now. He had met a few interesting people amongst both schools but at the moment only a few were even aware that he cared about anything other then the quidditch or Triwizard Cups. He stood on the bow of the Durmstrang ship in a pair of swimming trunks that fit him rather tightly before he jumped into the lake. The cool water rushing passed him as he swam a ways away before surfacing near the lake shore. He began to swim a few laps. Back and forth along the shore line before finally heading into the bank and pulling his wand from his forearm and summoning a towel.

Alright, so what if she wasn't legal. Her mother wanted her to have some form of pertection, though...a dolphin form wasn't exactly threatening to anyone. But who cared? She had a reason to be in the water now and so here she was, swimming about like the happy dolphin she was. Swimming at the average speed for an animal as such she chased the fish around and looked as if she was actually having fun doing so. Maybe she was, maybe she wasn't did it really matter? No one could see her doing such odd things, well at least that's what she thought. A splash just a few feet beyond her caused her form to change from that of an aquatic mammal to her human form. Eyes wide open and hair flowing around widely as she looked around attempting to figure out who else was out messing around. But soon enough her human limits caused her to slowly surface and breathe as she continued to look about. She couldn't tell who it was, just that it was of human stature, possible male by the fact that the figure was shirt less.
"Hmmm this otta be fun..." She giggled as she dove back under after taking a good breath and changed once again, gaining good speed to get herself from the middle of the lake to the shore quite quickly. But as she drew closer she slowed down so not much noise would be caused. Though anyone would notice the ripples from her surfacing for air quickly and diving back down. Quietly she watched curiously, swimming around the figure as he did laps. Obviously he was used to the cold, seeing how he wasn't dead yet from hypothermia. Being the curious girl and animal she was she pushed her limits to see how close she could get before she was spotted. Maybe a little game of chase could then commence...she didn't know all she knew was she wanted some fun and she was going to get some, hopefully.

Krum set his towel down on a nearby rock and sat down before he moved slightly as he looked at the lake waiting for something to peak his interest. He saw something in the distance surface then submerge again. He immediately thought of the Giant Squid and just smiled until he saw movement closer to shore. He stood up and started toward the waters edge again to get a better look. He saw something and couldn't believe his eyes he didn't know that Dolphins could survive these temperatures and yet here one was swimming along the shore line. He quickly waded out into the lake again and strapped his wand to his forearm before plunging into the icy water.

Perfect, the boy was coming to investigate. She wiggled around, swimming in a circle as she waited impatiently for him to submerge himself. Once she saw the figure in the water she looked at him, almost egging him on before turning around and swimming about, not going in an exact straight line, doing that wouldn't give him any chance what so ever. Sure she was...mean but she wasn't that mean. She at least gave people a chance. She turned around and almost...smiled at him? At least it looked as if she did. It was a natural facial expression she had. And so she continued to egg him on, swimming about, staying close to the surface to make sure the boy could at least breath like she needed to every now and then.
"C'mon boy, you can swim faster than that." She laughed to herself as she jumped up playfully enjoying this to the fullest. It was certainly a silly site but she couldn't help herself. She was naturally a happy person even if her family had rather bad problems. She just loved to have fun and that was what she was doing now. So thus she was going to do something that many would find odd. But It was Sarah for god sakes, when wasn't she odd?

Krum watched the dolphin move away and stop and stare back at him almost like it was telling him to catch it. He quickly cast a bubble head charm and started after the dolphin. Not really caring that it was a worthless venture. he knew that the creature could easily outrun him but he also knew that he could transfigure himself partially to give himself an edge and catch up if he so chose.

It was all fun and games for awhile, but the deeper they went, the closer they got to a certain creature that most students didn't want to encounter. Quietly and stalkingly large tentacles swirled up behind the rather small, at least to the large creature, dolphin that had intruded upon his territory. And with a swift grip the dolphin was in its grip. Wiggling around, she managed to remove herself twice from the grip of squid before it learned to squeeze. And thus came the pain and the change. Now a small girl stuck in the grip of the large squid she managed to wiggle free, and get caught yet again. "Are you kidding me? God damnit let go!" She cursed mentally as she pulled out her wand which was tightly strapped to her stomach and aimed, thank god for Defense against the dark arts and not needing the spoken spells anymore. Nothing left her wand, but ripples ran through with great speed and hit the squid straight into the tentacles. But sadly, the grip only tightened.
"This, is crap!" Though, her mental thoughts were fierce, her body was slowly growing limp as the need of oxygen grew more important. Her hands pusshing and attempting to get her out of the grip of the damned creature but it seemed it wasn't going to work. Who would've known she'd die like this. Though she wasn't going to go out without a fight and that was for sure. She continued to struggle, even as her strength dwindled. The grip on her wand only tightened as she put it back into its strap on her stomach so she wouldn't lose it. She was able to place a single good shot with her elbwo to the tentacle and it loosened. Though sadly, she was to disoriented to figure out where down was let alone were up was.

Krum was dumbfounded by the sudden appearance of the squid. and even more so as it managed to latch onto the Dolphin. He quickened his pace not wanting to lose his new-found friend. He pulled his wand off his wrist and moved closer to it when he noticed that it was a girl now. rather then a dolphin. He quickly changed his plans and pointed his wand in the direction of her as she floated free. His wand carried him to her and then he pointed it up at the surface of the lake. Making them both launch about ten feet out of the water before landing again closer to shore. he swam them the rest of the way and set her on the shore.

As she was moved, she drifted in and out of consciousness. But as her body flew into the air her lungs took in that oh so sweet substance, burning as it did so, coughing harshly the natural reflex to cling kicked in and she just shook her head about getting her ears cleared of all water. "Má tá tú riamh liom an deis chun na Cille Sin rud" The words rolled off her tongue as she glared at the dark waters. Blue eyes showing the anger towards the creature, and yet she understood that the entire thing was her fault...she was the idiot that swam into the squids territory and didn't exactly realize it. But she had lost track of where she was and didn't realize she was so close to something she shouldn't have been near. And then she realized, that if any of the teachers found out, they would know of her illegal animagus form and she groaned rubbing her head.
"Fabhtcheartú Tuilleadh I don't gá ..." Again the worlds just flowed off her tongue before she just sighed and realized she was being dragged/carried towards shore. She looked over, eyes now clear of all water and vision not blurry she realized who it was and smiled a bit. Not the kind of person she would've expected but hey, he practically saved her life. And so in return she wasn't going to be like many girls he most likely had met and she kept her cool. Yes, he was one of the best seekers around but that gave her no reason to squeal and make his eardrums bleed was it? That and she had no real or true reason to squeal. He was after all just another boy with an amazing talent. So what if he was considered the worlds best seeker, let along most likely the youngest to carry said title. He was just another wizard, no special treatment needed.

Victor looked at her and moved onto the shore and pulled her with him. Not really dragging but half carrying. "Are you going to be alright?" he asked her as he watched her on shore. The words she had said had made almost no sense to him but he was sure that she was a Hogwarts student.

Sarah shook her head and ran a hand through her wet hair before looking to him and nodding. "Yea, I'll be fine." She said with a half hearted smile as she attempted to catch her breath. That wasn't her only neaer death experience she had ever had. So it wasn't a complete shock to her but it was always nice to have someone ask such a question. Made her feel like someone, even if she had just met them, cared just a tiny bit for her. "Uh, you think we could keep this quiet? I'm not supposed to be able to change...not legally yet anyway." She said as she looked up to him, hands down in her lap as she crossed her legs. The cold air now getting to her as her body instinctively started to shake to get warmth into her body. All hairs standing up causing goosebumps to form up her arms and legs. Oh yea, what a day to go out swimming.

She looked up to him, she was right, he was…what…famous seeker that was from half way around the world. Yea that was it. She constantly got the story from Ron, or Harry, or someone that knew what team he was on. Yea she liked Quidditch, but she couldn’t even start naming the leauge’s teams. She nodded a silent hello, worried that if she spoke her teeth would chatter. And she certainly didn’t want that. But seeing how he could already tell she was cold his cloak was drapped over her shoulders and she hastily pulled it around her dripping wet body and curled up right underneath it. Legs and all hidden beneath the dark crimson red colors of it, the warmth almost instantaneous it was amazing. But then again…it was magic. “Sarah Evans. Pleasure as well.” She said with a bit more confidence in her voice, knowing she wasn’t going to make a fool of herself with the chattering of her teeth. “And…thank you for not telling anyone. It’s a family thing. Lets just put it that way.” She said, unable to give up anymore information than that. Anymore would just throw her mother’s effort, years and years of work on hiding her daughter from the menace that was her father. Something Sarah didn’t want to do. And so, with that done, introductions out of the way, she gave a silent nod and curled back up under the blanket, watching the water ripple as the squid slowly calmed down. Thankfully it was before any teachers saw.
“Do you always…swim in this freezing water like that? Still warm?” She said, looking to him. Noticing that he wasn’t even cold from the wind and the water. She certainly would’ve frozen to death if not from the squid. It amazed her, how someone as such as him, not the biggest or burliest of boy here, could even withstand such temperatures. But, she figured, it was his culture. To deal with such cold weather. Possibly could remind him of home. Though, the winter months too did remind her of her own home. Ireland during a snow storm. Every window and door nailed shut to keep the cold out and a fire to keep the warmth inside. It was a place she would miss greatly. But until her menace of a father was gone, she was in hiding. “I mean, you’ve gotta be just tad big cold yes?”

Viktor nodded. "Don't Vorry about it. I vouldn't dream of telling anyone a family secret. Vhy vould I?" He said. "I don't like to have things told about me unless I know vhat it is and if it is not a bad zing. Everyone has Zere secrets to keep." he said to her with a smile as he looked at her. He wanted to make sure taht the cloak was doing her job and keeping her warm. He was glad to see that it was.
"It is not too cold for me, I have alvays svam in colder vater zen zis." He said to her with a small smile to himself. "Ze vater is razer varm honestly." he said to her as he looked at her and moved his head to watch the squid disappear. "is it alvays like zat?" he asked her.

She nodded before shaking her head and looking to him and then the water. “Warm? Are you kidding me? Warm is when the water is seventy two degrees and steaming. You, are insane for calling that water warm. And no, I just got to close to it that’s all. It’s usually very calm and doesn’t attack people. Just stay away from it and you’ll be fine.” She said as she nodded, clinging to the cloak as if it was a life line. The last thing she had to keep her warm. And it was partly true. Her clothing…she couldn’t really remember where she had put it. And so there for was stuck in her wet swim suit until she made it back inside the castle, unnoticed. Which was hard for someone like her. Always getting caught and getting into trouble even when she didn’t mean to.
